The second prototype of the new five-bladed version of Airbus Helicopters’ H145 successfully completed its first flight test, performed at the company’s Donauwörth facilities in Germany in August. This second prototype will be used for additional flight testing in early 2020 as a prelude to the EASA certification of the five-bladed H145. This prototype will mainly undergo autopilot testing, performance and airframe structural validation. The first prototype was continuing its high altitude tests in South America as of the end of August.

Unveiled at the Heli-Expo in Atlanta this year, the new H145 features an additional payload of 150 kg and offers a comfortable flight experience, as well as simplicity and connectivity.
