Anova’s main focus at the event were its subsystems, each of which requires special expertise. The Ammunition Backpack was the most noteworthy of the solutions being displayed for the first time.
Offering a broad range of products from its flex chute family, the company has adapted its expertise in this field to the needs of the individual soldier. The Ammunition Backpack comprises a backpack in which the ammunition is carried, a flex chute that feeds the ammunition from the backpack to the rifle, and the rifle itself. Depending on the size of the backpack and the calibre of the ammunition, up to 600 bullets can be carried within a single system, allowing a soldier to bringing high firepower to the battlefield. The system can accommodate ammunition for 7.62 mm and 5.56 mm calibre weapons.
Another solution being displayed for the first time by Anova at the event was the Environmental Conditioning Unit Control Box. In addition to its use for the Environmental Conditioning Unit developed for a targeting pod, the control box is also being marketed as an independent product. Featuring an incremental number of channels, the box can be used as a control unit for various cooling systems. The Environmental Conditioning Unit Control Box has attracted particular attention due to its compliance with the MIL-STD-810, 461 and 704 standards.
One of the most eye-catching products displayed by Anova at its stand at IDEF was the Wireless Power Transmission Unit for the charging of battery-powered unmanned aerial vehicles. The product allows drones to be charge wirelessly at distances of 15 cm from the charging station, eliminating the need to replace the battery or to plug in a power cord.
Anova was also showcasing the Fuel Transfer Pump solution that it has displayed at recent exhibitions. Anova has obtained the necessary permits to use the name of the system on which the pump is used – the Roketsan ATMACA missile. The product is also earmarked for use in other munition projects in Turkey.
Another solution being displayed by Anova for the first time was the Military Gearbox, which is a critical component in radars and turrets that has found many uses aboard various military platforms.
