Collins Aerospace has signed a Letter of Intent with the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) covering support for the CH-47F helicopters. Within this context, the company, as the original manufacturer of various avionic systems used aboard these helicopters, will deploy field support engineers to carry out the maintenance of the avionic systems, and to ensure that the combat readiness of helicopters is at the highest level. The agreement also includes activities related to the F-35s in the inventory of the RNLAF. The company will establish an F-35 Pilot Readiness Centre where the helmets used by F-35 pilots will be personalised for each pilot.
The company is expected to start providing these services at two different locations, at the Soesterberg and Woensdrecht Air Bases, early in 2020.
