Berkin Engineering took part in the event with many of its recently developed indigenous products that were being showcased for the first time. The most important feature of these products is that all of their software, hardware and mechanical designs belong to Berkin Engineering.
The PIU-0430 Programmable Interface Unit was the product among those showcased that attracted the greatest interest. The PIU-0430 brings ease and speed to the integration of the interfaces of different systems onto platforms. The unit has various interfaces that can be used on land and naval platforms. Data transmitted to the unit through a connection to any device can be routed to another device that uses a different connection standard. This routing can be done easily and quickly due to the programmability of the unit. Programming can also be executed by the end user in the field.
Emphasising that the PIU-0430 is a unique product in the global market, Yücel Atalay, General Manager of Berkin Engineering, said: “Various platforms feature similar solutions that have been developed specifically for that platform, while the PIU-0430 is the only solution that operates independently of both the platform and the systems. You can connect this unit to any platform and make the systems on the platform communicate with each other. All the interfaces you may need are included within the unit. You can specify which data from which system is to be transmitted to which system, and how often, by programming the unit.
This capability also allows you to carry out interface adaptation when devices are changed or updated, without having to rely on the device manufacturers. There is no similar product on the global market, and we have started the patent process.”
Berkin Engineering has completed the laboratory tests of the PIU-0430, and is ready to make deliveries to projects in which it is selected. During the event, several foreign delegations showed an interest in the product, and invited Berkin Engineering to make technical presentations in their countries.
The NDDS-300 Real-Time Data Distribution System is a cost-effective solution designed by Berkin Engineering for small to mid-size platforms. While the PIU-0430 transmits data without interpreting it, the NDDS-300 transmits data after subjecting it to various processes. Berkin Engineering has managed to further increase the domestic contribution ratio for the NDDS-300 by procuring the connectors of the system from local suppliers.
Another indigenous solution showcased by the company was the NMFD Programmable Multifunctional Repeater. Available in both bulk and console mount models, the NMFD enables the user to access all the necessary data on one screen simultaneously thanks to its programmability.
