Italian Typhoons Deployed in Kuwait Celebrate 2,000th Flight Hour with “Tetris Challenge”

The Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets managed to clock in 2,000 flight hours before their 12th month of deployment during their Kuwait mission, which started on 26 March 2019. This success was announced on 16 March, from the social media account of Eurofighter Typhoon, with a photo shared with the subject tag #TetrisChallenge.

Italian Typhoons are involved in the fight against the terrorist organization, ISIS, in the region. In the photo taken at the Al Jaber Air Base, where the Task Group “Typhoon” is stationed, soldiers and other equipment, as well as two Eurofighter Typhoons, are in the tetris layout.

Kuwait had ordered 28 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft in a contract signed with Leonardo, representing the Eurofighter consortium in 2016. The first of the aircraft is scheduled to be deployed this year.
