Agena BST is displaying two of its UAVs for the first time at SAHA EXPO. Being active in the defence sector for more than 11 years, it is known mostly for its simulation software. Agena BST made a surprise unveiling of two new UAVs – “Kolubri” and “Yengeç” – at the event. SAHA EXPO was the company’s first virtual event.
Kolubri’s flying wing configuration permits vertical take-off and landing. The UAV can be supplied with wing spans that can range between 90 and 160 centimetres, and weighs between 3 and 8 kilograms, depending on the size. It has a robust, crash-resistant frame thanks to its carbon fibre plating, and can be launched manually or autonomously when sat vertically on a surface on its tail thanks to its two propellers mounted in a tractor configuration on its nose. It can also land vertically.
The second UAV being introduced by Agena BST at the event is the rotating-wing UAV Yengeç, which has four motors. Although it weighs just 3 kilograms, Yengeç is capable of carrying a payload of up to 2.5 kilograms. It can reach altitudes of 2,000 metres and remain airborne for between 20 and 40 minutes.
AdsiF-IDE, which supports modelling and simulation development processes, is another product being displayed by Agena BST for the first time at the event, although it has been in use for some time.
İbrahim Genç and M. Fatih Hocaoğlu, the Founding Partners of Agena BST, said that SAHA EXPO had met their expectations, stating that they had been satisfied to see the number of visitors and requests for meetings that they received exceeding their expectations, in addition to the meetings they held with the representatives of the public sector and sectoral leaders.
