ARES Shipyard has launched the first of 122 ARES 35 FPB (Fast Patrol Boats) to be built for Turkish Coast Guard Command and Turkish National Police. Serving as the prototype of the project, this first boat will be delivered to Turkish Coast Guard Command. ARES 35 FPB will be used for missions such as combating irregular migration and smuggling, search and rescue activities, and exclusive economic zone (EEZ) protection. The platform, the classification of which has been carried out by Türk Loydu, is 12 metres long, 3.7 metres wide and has a 0.80 metre draft. The boat, which is powered by two main diesel engines, has a maximum speed of 35 knots. The range of the boat has been announced as 160 nautical miles.
15 Years Left Behind in April
ARES Shipyard also celebrated its 15th anniversary in April. For this purpose, the company released a video on 5 April with images of various platforms in its product range. ARES Shipyard, whose products for naval and security forces are currently in use in Bahrain, Georgia, Qatar, TRNC, Nigeria, Tanzania, Turkmenistan and Oman as well as Turkey, recently announced that its worldwide deliveries have surpassed 100 vessels.
