As SEDEC 2020 Approaches, Additional Precautions are Taken at ATO Congresium

Preparations are continuing at full speed for SEDEC 2020, which will be held with international participation between 15-17 September. Focusing on homeland security, border security and internal security systems the event is supported by the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) and the Turkish Defence and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association (SSI). In this context; ATO Congresium, where the event will be held, has been inspected by the SEDEC Organization Committee for measures taken against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organizing committee of SEDEC 2020 took various measures in the event area, such as rearranging the floor plan. The organization committee visited ATO Congresium after these measures had been taken and made inspections in the event area. As a result of this inspection, the following preparations and arrangements were made in the Congresium to enable a safe event during the pandemic and to ensure compliance with social distance and hygiene rules.

Building and Hall Entrances:

  • Thermal cameras will be used in gate A
  • Social distancing signs (entrance-exit signs) will be placed in front of gate A
  • Barriering will be done in front of gate A
  • Social distancing signs will be placed in front of the registration desk
  • Routing will be made from the car parks to the gate A
  • Access to the venue without masks will be forbidden

Elevators and Escalators:

  • Distancing signs urging people to leave a 2-step gap between each other in escalators will be placed
  • Elevators will not be permitted to be used by guests

Building Cleaning:

  • Related areas will be disinfected at the beginning and the end of the working hours
  • Cleaning staff will not work without masks and gloves
  • There will be sterilization stations at various points in the event area

Climate Control Across the Building:

  • 100% fresh air will be provided to all halls in the building

Bathroom Usage:

  • Capacity will be reduced to 50%
  • Social distancing signs will be placed at the entrances
