Having celebrated its 39th anniversary on 21 May, ASPİLSAN Energy continues to perform firsts for Turkey. The Rail System Vehicle Batteries developed by the company using Nickel Cadmium Fiber (Ni-Cd Fiber) technologies have been granted approval after being tested on the vehicles of Kayseri Ulaşım A.Ş. The Fiber Ni-Cd batteries are the first rail system batteries to be designed and produced in Turkey.
ASPİLSAN Energy announced on 7 May that the Rail System Vehicle Batteries had been certified as in compliance with the international EN 60077-1, IEC 60623, EN 45545-2, IEC 61373, IEEE 1568 and UIC 854-R standards, and documented with “Certificate of Conformity”.
In another statement released on 11 May, the company announced that the rail system vehicle batteries designed by ASPİLSAN Energy and produced in line with the required standards, had successfully passed the air conditioning and operational tests conducted in a laboratory environment under the supervision of Kayseri Ulaşım A.Ş. technical personnel. Following the tests, the batteries were tested on the vehicles of Kayseri Ulaşım A.Ş. and approved for their reliability and performance. Having proved their performance, the batteries are now being used actively in the vehicles of Kayseri Ulaşım A.Ş.
