Bayraktar AKINCI Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) hit the target precisely with a KGK-SİHA-82 wing assisted guidance kit equipped munition. During the test, AKINCI launched for the first time a munition equipped with a KGK-SİHA-82 developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE. Bayraktar AKINCI took off from Çorlu on 14 June, carrying the KGK-SİHA-82 equipped munition, and successfully completed its test of striking at the determined coordinates at the open seas near Sinop. The munition, weighing 340 kg in total, was launched from 30 km away and successfully hit its target. The success of the shot was also observed by the electro-optical camera on AKINCI and the telemetry devices on the ground.
Bayraktar AKINCI entered service on 29 August 2021, with a ceremony that was graced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The UCAV is used by Turkish Armed Forces and security forces actively in operations. 6 Bayraktar AKINCI UCAVs was delivered to the domestic users in Türkiye so far.
