Baykar’s Bayraktar AKINCI Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV), developed indigenously within the scope of AKINCI project of Defence Industry Agency, achieved another success. Two Bayraktar AKINCI UCAVs that will perform air shows and be a part of exhibits in TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan reached the country after flying approximately 2,000 kilometres.

The first AKINCI UCAV took off from Çorlu in the early morning of 21 May, leaving Turkish airspace and entering Georgian airspace before reaching its final destination, Baku, in almost 5 hours. The second AKINCI UCAV took off and followed the same route, successfully completing the journey. Bayraktar AKINCI UCAVs landed on the Haydar Aliyev International Airport after completing their flights.

In the press release published by Baykar, it was highlighted that AKINCI UCAVs were the first UAVs in Turkish aviation history that flew almost 2,000 kilometres and crossing over three countries.
