Combat Supply Ship DERYA to Set Sail in 2023

Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, President of Defence Industry Agency, visited Sefine Shipyard to observe the ongoing efforts for the Combat Supply Ship DERYA. Prof. Dr. Demir posted a social media message regarding the development on 3 July, announcing the ship’s expected delivery year as 2023.

DERYA will be able to supply fuel and water to units on sea, even helicopter fuel, through underway replenishment methods. In addition, it will support the maintenance and repair of manned and unmanned surface and underwater vehicles, helicopters, and UAVs on other ships at a certain level.

DERYA will be the second longest ship after Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship ANADOLU in Turkish Navy.

  • Speed: 24 knots
