by Buse Köse

The hybrid engine technology to be used in the spacecraft developed by DeltaV and planned to make a hard landing on the Moon in 2023, within the scope of the National Space Program, has passed the first flight test. As part of the test, the hybrid engine was integrated into the Probe Rocket System (SORS). SORS was launched from the test centre in Sinop on 17 July and successfully completed its first flight test. Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology followed the launch test at the test centre.

The rocket, which has a hybrid engine, is expected to reach an altitude of 100 kilometres, which is considered the limit of space, by the end of this year, in ongoing tests.
