HAVELSAN became one of the companies from Türkiye that participated in the cyber security exercise called Locked Shields, which is regularly held every year by NATO. Türkiye participated in the exercise organized by the NATO Cyber Defence Center of Excellence (CCDCOE) between 19-22 April, under the coordination of the Turkish Armed Forces Cyber Defence Command, together with the cyber security experts of institutions and companies, including HAVELSAN. This year, 33 countries participated in the exercise and Türkiye became the 9th most successful country.

HAVELSAN joined the exercise with the participation of approximately 2 thousand personnel from CCDCOE member countries and NATO Partnership for Peace Programme. HAVELSAN contributed in the categories of malware, network security and web security. Türkiye was among the 3 most successful countries in the malware category. As part of the exercise, organized with the concept of “Red Teams Against Blue Teams”, the blue teams performed cyber defence, while the red team engaged in cyber attacks. In this year’s exercise, 24 blue teams defended, and one red team, NATO’s mixed team, attacked.

Türkiye has been participating in the exercise, which started to be organized by CCDCOE in 2010, for the last 10 years.
