Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace (ICDDA) will be held on 13–15 October at the Beytepe Congress Center in Ankara, organized by the OSTİM Defense and Aviation Cluster (OSSA), Ankara Chamber of Industry -a partner in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)-, European Commission (EC) and with the support of the Presidency of Defence Industries of the Republic of Turkey.

A total of 260 companies from 60 countries participated at the fourth ICDDA, held in October 2018, and took part in 5,700 registered B2B meetings. The event, being held for the fifth time this year, will showcase the latest developments in the defence, aviation and space sectors in Turkey, and will allow foreign participants to closely examine Turkey’s outputs in these areas and obtain the most up-to-date information. The event will give foreign participants many opportunities to develop technology- and R&D-oriented collaborations with their Turkish counterparts, and for Turkish institutions and organizations to showcase their capabilities and potentials to the foreign participants.

With its hybrid event approach, the 5th ICDDA, will attract original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), institutions and organizations, research centers and investors operating in the global defence, aviation and space sectors, spearheading a new initiative in Turkey in these fields. Whether participating from their home countries, or taking part in person, the participants of ICDDA will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with the purchasing, supply chain and business development officials of participating companies and institutions from various countries around the world, either virtually or face-to-face.

Participants will be able to create a user profile on the portal that has been developed specifically for the hybrid event, selecting the appropriate fields from the tabs, thus identifying their specific fields of business. The participants will then be able to present information about their companies and institutions to other users through the portal, including detailed information about their products and services. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to meet the right people and to hold efficient B2B meetings, whether face-to-face or virtually, after detailing their requirements.

VIP visitors, companies and institutions participating in the event in person will be able to take part in both face-to-face and virtual meetings, while foreign companies and institutions that will participate in the virtual event will be limited to virtual meetings only with Turkish companies and institutions with a view to developing collaborations.

The virtual participants will also be able to participate or take part as panellists in the panels that will be held on the first day of the event, in which the main topics will be Commercial Aviation, Defence Systems (Land-Naval-Air), Homeland Security Technologies and Supply Chain Strategies.

Furthermore, the participating companies and institutions will have the opportunity to introduce their products and capabilities to ministers, senior civil servant and military officials during the official stand visits that will be held on the first day.
