by Can Kılınç

BMC has exported its 8×8 Tank Transporter, developed in line with the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) requirements, to the Republic of North Macedonia.  According to the information shared by the company on 6 May, the contract for vehicle supply and Integrated Logistics Support Package was signed in line with the needs of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia. Thus, the first export of the 8×8 Tank Transporter was made to an European and NATO member country.

BMC achieved this success by overtaking the competition in technical, administrative and financial matters. The 8X8 Tank Transporter was produced for the purpose of efficient transportation of the M60 Patton Tank, Leopard Tank, Fırtına Howitzer, Armoured Combat Vehicles, Armoured Personnel Carriers and all kinds of military and civilian vehicles, especially the Altay Main Battle Tank. The 8×8 Tank Transporter, which is the largest member of the BMC Tactical Wheeled Vehicles Family, will meet with a foreign user for the first time on this export occasion.

72 of 8×8 Tank Transporters, with each vehicle having a total weight of 120 tons and a towing capacity of 70 tons, were recently delivered to the TAF.
