Otokar announced its first quarterly financial results for 2021, on April 23. Despite the effects of the pandemic, Otokar, which signed important export deals in 2020, achieved a turnover of 877 million liras in the first quarter, increasing its turnover by 91 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Otokar with the aim of becoming a global player, increased its exports by 44 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period of the previous year, to 69 million dollars and raised its net profit to 107 million liras.
Serdar Görgüç, General Manager of Otokar said: “Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have taken all necessary measures to protect the health of our employees, ensure the continuity of our business, reduce the impact of the pandemic and prevent its spread. During this challenging process, we did not neglect the communication with our users despite the conditions and kept to always be on the side of our business partners resulting in new agreements. Thanks to our safe production practices and timely measures, we focused on the delivery of our orders without any disruptions in production. As a result of these developments, we achieved a turnover of 877 million liras in the first quarter, an increase of 91 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and we increased our net profit to 107 million liras.”
