Quantum3D, Will Be the Contractor for the Republic of Korea’s New Generation Fighter Jet Training Simulator

MANTIS, the award-winning real-time image generator of Quantum3D, HAVELSAN’s U.S.-based subsidiary, was selected for the next generation fighter aircraft training simulator of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI). KAI currently has the KF-X new generation fighter aircraft program ongoing.

According to the announcement made on 11 May, this turnkey system will include; hardware, software, installation, training, database generation system, a comprehensive database and spare parts supply.

MANTIS will also have radar detection features. The system will provide the user with full region-of-interest (ROI), out-the-window (OTW) visual scenes and a real-time day-night visual.

Providing the user with the latest technology updates and 16x antialiasing as well as 4K resolution, MANTIS produces a lifelike experience and prevents the pilots from getting distracted by the aliasing artifacts.

Quantum3D also expressed in its statement that the product is constantly updated with the advancing technologies.

Quantum3D joined HAVELSAN on 6 October 2016, upon completion of the necessary legal procedures. Quantum3D, which produces image generators used in military and civilian simulator and training systems, operates in Silicon Valley, one of the world’s leading technology bases.
