Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, President of Defence Industries (SSB), announced on 4 February that the test firing of the ATMACA surface-to-surface guided missile with a live warhead from the TCG KINALIADA (F-514) corvette had been concluded successfully. A video showing ATMACA, developed by Roketsan and carrying a live warhead, destroying its target was posted with announcement.
At an earlier press conference attended by Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, President of Defence Industries, held on 29 September 2020, it was stated that a final test of ATMACA before entering into service would be carried out with a live warhead. Having completed this test with success, ATMACA is now ready for mass production.
