Selçuk Bayraktar Piloted a MiG-29

Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Turkish Technology Team Foundation and CTO at Baykar arrived at Baku to attend TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan and during the event, he piloted a MiG-29 fighter of Azerbaijan Air Force. The MiG-29 Bayraktar was piloting performed a formation flight with AKINCI UCAV, developed by Baykar. The company announced the development on 25 May.

Bayraktar, who has a Private Pilot License (PPL), piloted the MiG-29 together with Pilot Col. Zaur Rüstemov, Deputy Commander of Combat Forces of Azerbaijani Air Force. The flight took off from Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport, and before the flight, Bayraktar and Col. Rüstemov were briefed by Pilot Col. Murat Keleş, Coordinator at Ministry of National Defence and first pilot of SoloTürk. Bayraktar and Col. Rüstemov then took their positions in the double-seated MiG-29.
