Türkiye and United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a letter of intent covering various defence industry related cooperation issues. A signing ceremony was organised for that purpose on 14 February and was attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was on an official visit to UAE and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, President of Defence Industries and Tareq Abdul Raheem Al Hosani, CEO of Tawazun Economic Council.
