STM ThinkTech has completed the project, which was initiated to enable Gaziantep machinery and metal industry to produce high value-added products for the defence and aerospace industries. The closing meeting of the project, starting within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by STM ThinkTech with Silkroad Development Agency (İKA) on 25 September, 2020, was held on 2 July.
The project, initiated with the aim of transforming the experience and potential of industrialists in Gaziantep into high value-added products, consisted of different stages such as data collection and analysis. Within the scope of the project, 30 of the 143 companies producing in the metal and machinery sector in Gaziantep were determined as examples. STM ThinkTech consultants, who visited these 30 companies one by one and held interviews, compiled the current production data of the companies with the question sets they prepared and revealed their talent inventories. Later, as a result of the analyses made using various methods, a transformation strategy for Gaziantep machinery and metal industry was created.
