150 Million Dollars Investment Project of SYS Continues at Full Pace

Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) is building a new facility in Samsun with an investment of 150 million dollars on an area of 245 decares. The company, aiming to gather its works, currently carried out in three separate facilities in Samsun, under a single roof when the new facility becomes operational, expressed the detail of the investment in question with a press announcement made on 15 July.

The press release contains the statement of C. Utku Aral, General Manager of SYS, upon the subject. Aral stated the following concerning the investment: “Our production adventure, which started 23 years ago in a 500 square meter workshop in Samsun, the heart of the Black Sea, continues by developing. The total of our investments in Samsun has reached 120 million dollars. We have started a new investment of 150 million dollars that will unite our facilities under a single roof. When the investment is completed, SYS will continue its production in its new facilities on a total area of 245 decares, of which 80 decares are closed.”

The press release also mentioned the export activities of SYS. Stating that its exports continued without slowing down during the pandemic period, Aral gave the following information about the USA, the largest export market of SYS: “There is a significant mobility in the United States regarding civil armament. Our exports to the USA increased two times in January-April 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year. We anticipate that our company will make large quantity sales in 2021 as in 2020. With the pandemic, the acceptance processes of state contracts have slowed down, but since the first quarter of 2021, the acceptance processes have started to accelerate.”
