The world’s largest aerospace and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is concluding its journey in Izmir after stops in Istanbul and Ankara in the 100th year of the Republic of Türkiye. The first part of the event, held at the Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, set a record with over 2.5 million visitors. The second leg of the event was hosted at the Etimesgut Airport in Ankara, and this last part will be held between 27 September – 1 October at the Çiğli Airport. TEKNOFEST Izmir will bring millions together, with its vision in line with the “National Technology Initiative” for a fully independent Türkiye, as it gears up for an exciting festival with the motto “You Are the Future.”
The event promises a scientific adventure, full of technology and entrepreneurship competitions, breath-taking air shows, science shows, simulation experience areas, educational workshops, exhibitions, stage performances, and concerts, all revolving around science, technology, and space.
Competitions and More
TEKNOFEST is marching steadily towards its goal of “A Türkiye That Develops and Produces Technology”, and its TEKNOFEST Start-Up Competition, held for the first time this year in Ankara, saw 34 start-ups win a total of ₺3.75 million. The start-ups taking part in the Izmir leg of the competition will compete in the following themes:
- Tourism Technologies and Gaming
- Environment, Energy and Climate Technologies
- Barrier-Free Living Technologies
- Health and Quality of Life Technologies
Additionally, the Deneyap Idea Marathon and Deneyap Makeathon, as well as the Pre-Take Off Start-Up Summit will be a part of TEKNOFEST Izmir.
Talents to Take the Stage
TEKNOFEST Izmir is inviting everyone proud of their talents to take the stage, either individually or in groups. Music lovers and performers will have the opportunity to showcase their talents to participants and visitors twice a day, whether as individuals or groups, during TEKNOFEST’s “Stage Is Yours” events. These events will provide enjoyable moments to the visitors and let the performers display their talents to the world.
