TTAF Defense took the opportunity at the event to make contacts with potential customers abroad, and to meet with local platform manufacturers.
Speaking about the companies with which they had met recently, Ergün İşgör, General Manager of TTAF Defense, said: “Most of the global platform manufacturers we have contacted at the event expressed a desire to visit our facilities in Turkey and to see our capabilities in place.”
One of the most important topics on the agenda of the company at the event was the consolidation of the strategic partnership agreement signed with the Czech company OPTOKON during IDEF’19 in May. TTAF Defense took the initial steps in this collaboration after the signing of the agreement in May, and has completed, through its domestic solution partners, the test production of various components required for the fibre-optic communication solutions to be produced jointly in Turkey. The company is preparing for the serial production that will start once OPTOKON certifies the components. The next phase will see the other components imported from abroad and the assembly of the final products in Turkey. In the final stage, a local participation rate of 100% will be achieved.
In addition to its promotional activities, TTAF Defense is continue to develop new products, in which the focus is on innovation. TTAF Defense and Başkent University aim to garner support from an institution named IraSME in their jointly developed project. IraSME is a European-based organisation that manages the incentive funds of various countries, and that supports the innovation studies of SMEs.
