5G Users Expected to Reach 3.5 Billion by the End of 2026

ULAK Communications Inc. shared its predictions about the future of the 5G market in a press release published on 2 July. According to the press release, as of January 2021, more than 144 service providers offer 5G services in 61 countries around the world. By the end of 2026, the number of 5G users is expected to reach 3.5 billion. With 5G networks, expected to carry more than half of the world’s mobile data traffic, the total revenue of the health, smart transportation, industrial production and internet of things sectors is estimated to exceed 700 billion dollars in four years.

Solutions Based on R&D are Being Produced

The press release includes the remarks of Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekci, Chairman of the Board of ULAK Communications Inc., upon the subject. Dr. Tüfekci emphasised that it is among their goals to produce a competitive product against foreign manufacturers: “We continue our work with the aim of equipping Turkey with secure communication infrastructures. We are working to produce innovative solutions at world standards for 5G and beyond while we continue our efforts to make existing 4.5G technologies developed with domestic and national resources sustainable. We aim to develop end-to-end domestic network technologies by performing high value-added works at the same time with the patents (IPR) we have presented on broadband communication technologies. In this context, ULAK Communications Inc. R&D team gains the motivation to carry out high value-added works with the patent applications it has made, while continuing its R&D studies with the same enthusiasm.”
